Attention all Gran Turismo 7 fans! We've got some exciting news and a bit of a curveball to share with you. The Weekly Challenges, a beloved feature of the game, are about to undergo a significant transformation. But before we dive into the upcoming changes, let's savor these last few weeks of the current format.
The Spec III update is just around the corner, and it promises to shake things up. While we're still in the dark about the exact details, we know that the Weekly Challenges will be getting a makeover. Get ready for some new and exciting events beyond the regular races!
For now, let's focus on the bonus game mode available to those who've completed the main GT Cafe career. This week, you're in for a treat with five unique race events, each offering its own challenges and rewards. One event is a Special Edition, a weekly creation that might just hint at the upcoming Power Pack DLC. The other four are familiar World Circuits races, giving you a chance to complete any missed opportunities and earn some extra goodies within the seven-day window.
Here's a breakdown of the races for November Week 2:
Japanese Clubman Cup 550 - Tokyo Expressway South Counterclockwise
This week's low-payout event takes us to the newest Tokyo Expressway circuit. A simple three-lap race with a unique layout featuring a pit lane in a parking garage and a triple-right section among shipping containers. Feel free to choose any Japanese Road or Tuned car, ignoring the suggested 550 Performance Points. The winner takes home a modest 20,000cr, so go ahead and show those AI a thing or two!
European FR Challenge 550 - Brands Hatch Grand Prix
Double the payout awaits at Brands Hatch, despite similar performance levels. For this event, you'll need a European Road car with front-engine and rear-wheel drive. The 550 PP suggestion is just that - a suggestion. Win this three-lapper and boost your wallet by 40,000cr.
Special Event - Red Bull Ring
This week, it's all about the Hyundai Elantra N as you navigate the climbs and descents of Red Bull Ring. No other restrictions, and the AI won't be overly tuned either. A single tire grade bump to Sports Mediums should do the trick at Normal difficulty, and you'll still walk away with a cool 64,000cr for the win.
World Touring Car 600 - Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
A familiar event, but with a twist. The WTC600 is an old-school Gran Turismo favorite, featuring tuned Japanese road and tuner cars with a mix of European and American exotics. For this one, you can use any car you desire as long as it doesn't exceed the 600PP limit. Complete the five laps of Road Atlanta and claim your 94,000cr reward.
Gr.1 Prototype Series - Suzuka Circuit
We're wrapping up the week with a prototype series event at Suzuka, but don't be fooled by the name. All you need is a car equipped with Racing tires, and we highly recommend some wet weather tires too. With a 950PP cap, this ten-lap event offers stiff tire wear, fuel consumption multipliers, and the possibility of rain. The winner takes home a whopping 175,000cr, so get ready for an intense battle!
The bonuses for this week come in the form of tickets, which you'll need to redeem from your Garage's Gifts. This week, you're looking at two sets of credit tickets and a special roulette ticket. Completing any event earns you a 100,000cr ticket, three events unlock a 200,000cr ticket, and completing all five events grants you a Six-Star Car ticket, offering a car from Brand Central worth 500,000cr or more, including the Invitation-only cars.
To access the Weekly Challenges, you must have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. The events update every Friday morning at midnight local time, so mark your calendars for November 21st for the next set of challenges.
