During the 2022-23 season, Gallinari was with the Boston Celtics, though he didn't get to play due to a left ACL injury. He had signed a two-year deal with the Celtics, hoping to compete for a championship. Unfortunately, he was sidelined for the season and later traded to the Wizards as part of the Kristaps Porzingis deal.
Drafted sixth overall by the New York Knicks in 2008, Gallinari, now 37, played for several teams, including the Nuggets, Clippers, Thunder, Hawks, Wizards, Pistons, and Bucks. His last NBA appearance was during the 2023-24 season, where he played for the Wizards, Pistons, and Bucks.
Over his career, Gallinari played in 777 games, starting 563 of them. He averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists, showcasing his scoring talent. He was also a sharpshooter, with a 38.1% three-point shooting percentage, making 1,456 three-pointers.
